Samsung Galaxy S4 design revealed ahead of release date

The Galaxy S4 design has been revealed by Samsung itself on Twitter and Facebook

Samsung has revealed pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S4 on its Twitter and Facebook pages.

The design, which is rather darkly lit, shows a small bezel, with the same smooth corners we saw on the Samsung Galaxy S3.

In fact, it does look very similar to the leaked Galaxy S4 pictures that appeared all over the internet yesterday.


The Samsung Galaxy S4 is due to launch at an event in New York on Thursday 14th March.

The event starts at 7PM, which is 11PM in the UK and we'll be covering all the action as it happens from New York courtesy of Marc Flores at our sister site The Full Signal.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is probably the biggest launch of 2013, excluding the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 (and that other Apple product, the iPad).

The Galaxy S4 is said to feature a 5-inch screen which is quite a step up from the Galaxy S4's 4.8-inch display.

PocketNow is reporting the Samsung Galaxy S4 may feature tissue conduction technology like the Kyocera Torque instead of an earpiece to transmit the sound to your ear because it can't see an earpiece on the leaked photo.

Other features already leaked include:

• 5-inch full HD 1920x1080 pixel display with 441ppi pixel density


• Exynos 5 Octa eight-core chip clocked at 1.8GHz


• 13-megapixel camera with video stabilisation as well as a back-illuminated sensor


• Android 4.2 Jelly Bean


• Smart Scroll with eye tracking technology

Samsung has already suggested the Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature the same plastic design as previous iterations of its flagship device, but surely, that's not a bad thing? The Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which both feature this trademark design were the hottest handsets of 2012 and we think the family of Android devices could continue the trend throughout 2013.

There are also rumours that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will launch at the same time as the Galaxy S4 - we sure hope so!
