Keisuke Inagaki (@keinagaki) is the owner and chef of an Italian restaurant in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, but he is best known for crafting intricate pancake art. Keisuke started flipping pancakes in 2014 and now has a portfolio that ranges from pastiches of traditional Japanese woodblock prints to portraits of Prince and C-3PO. “In 2014, I was volunteering with kids displaced from their homes in Fukushima after the Tohoku earthquake [and nuclear power plant disaster], where they could play outdoors in a safe environment,” Keisuke explains. “I would hold cooking lessons with their mothers, and in order to surprise the kids, I started incorporating pancake art. It was a huge success.”
