Mazika Recognised as top Finalist for the ASBU BroadcastPro ME Awards 2014

Mazika, the first mobile and web music platform for the up and coming stars of the future music underground movement and an application created by ArpuPlus, a leading mobile Value Added service provider (VAS) and monetisation platform solutions across the Middle East and an OTVentures company, has been shortlisted as a top finalist for the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) BroadcastPro ME Awards and Summit 2014. The awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the broadcast industry across the Arab region. The Summit will take place on the day and will cover the various aspects of the broadcast industry.

This year, Mazika is among the favorites for the "Outstanding MENA OTT Initiative" category. The awards distinguish the region's most acclaimed products and talents that have been driving the broadcast industry. The Ceremony will take place on November 11th, and will welcome a judging panel comprising of industry experts that will join together to review the top entries across key categories. The categories were, MENA Broadcast Trendsetter of 2014, MENA Systems Integrator, ASBU BroadcastPro ME 2014, Innovative Project Award, Innovative Production of 2014, Best long-form Production, Best Studio Set of the Year, Broadcast Project of the Year, Outstanding MENA OTT Initiative and Best Telco/Broadcast Initiative.

مبادرة رواد بلا حدود: أهمية دعم المشاريع الصغيرة التكنولوجية

مع بدء التحضيرات في دبي لإستضافة معرض EXPO 2020، هذا الحدث العالمي الكبير الذي يتطلب تجهيزات على كافة الأصعدة خاصة السياحية لاستقبال ٢٠ مليون زائر يتوقع وصولهم. تبرز الحاجة لإقامة مشاريع صغيرة ومتوسطة  ومعارض  وفعاليات،  توفر خدمات متنوعة، وتمنح القدرة على استيعاب التدفق الكبير المتوقع، وستكون الشركات الصغرى والمتوسطة هي المستفيد الأكبر منها.

من هنا، وفي كلمة ألقاها خلال مشاركته في مؤتمر "مدينة دبي للمعيشة الذكية ٢٠١٤". أطلق رائد الأعمال "محمد جهماني" مبادرة فريدة من نوعها أسماها "رواد بلا حدود"، تدور فكرتها حول فتح الحدود الجغرافية والفكرية والمالية أمام رواد الأعمال العرب لإتاحة المجالات أمامهم لتوسيع نطاق أعمالهم في الوطن العربي. وأكد جهماني أن تأسيس شركة في أي من الأسواق العربية يمثل تحدياً كبيراً بسبب عوائق جمة من أبرزها مشكلة التوطين، والحاجة إلى رأس مال كبير، ومشاكل الحصول على التأشيرات، ووجود قيود على جنسيات معينة.

وأوضح أنه على الرغم من تنظيم العديد من المؤتمرات والندوات، وإطلاق المنظمات والمبادرات، فإنه لم يتم وضع أي خطة على أرض الواقع تدعم رواد الأعمال والشركات الناشئة في المنطقة، وتوصّل إلى ضرورة سن قوانين ووضع خطط محددة من شأنها تخفيف أو حتى إزالة المعوقات، تدعم رواد الأعمال خاصة المختصون منهم في مجال التكنولوجيا. خاصة وأن الفضاء الرقمية والعلمي مليء بالطاقات الشابة والمواهب المتعددة، فنرى العديد من الخدمات التكنولوجية التي يقدمها هؤلاء الشبان من خلال المواقع الخاصة بهم أو البحث عن عروض عمل على مواقع الإعلانات المجانية وأحياناً على مواقع خاصة فقط بالخدمات.

 وضرب مثلاً يبين صواب رأيه: "بما أن دولة الإمارات توجه أنظارها نحو الفضاء لإطلاق أول سفينة فضاء عربية إلى المريخ عام ٢٠٢١، فينبغي البدء في إنشاء قاعدة أساسية لجيل يفكر بلا حدود". منوهاً بأن القائمة التي نشرتها مجلة "أرابيان بيزنس" حول "أغنى ٥٠ شخصية عربية" والتي شملت رواد أعمال من مختلف القطاعات، وأصحاب رؤوس الأموال والشركات الكبرى والمستثمرين، لم تضم ولو رجل أعمال واحد يحمل أجندة تضع في أولوياتها برامج لدعم وتمكين رواد الأعمال والشركات الناشئة.

وانتقد جهماني تركيز استثمارات المؤسسات الإعلامية الكبرى على ترويج برامج فنية وتجارية واكتشاف مغنين وفنانين، مما يؤثر سلباً على الجيل الصاعد، وأن قطاع التعليم لا يشتمل على منهج دراسي حول ريادة الأعمال، مما يتطلب البدء بتوعية الأبناء منذ الصغر حول إدارة الأعمال.

واقترح جهماني حصول رائد الأعمال على رخصة تجارية وحيدة تسمح له بالعمل في أي دولة عربية، وجواز سفر يكافيء جواز السفر الدبلوماسي لدخول أي دولة عربية بدون عوائق لممارسة أعماله التجارية بيسر ورياحية. وختم كلمته بالقول: "إذا لم يكن هناك منافسة، فليس هناك أي تحفيز للتفكير الإبداعي، إذ أن ذلك سوف يجعلك تلعب وحدك وتفكر وحدك".
