A couple of weeks ago or so, we reported that Samsung had plans to push out a fix that will make short work of the Exynos exploit on the Samsung Galaxy S3, and Galaxy S3 owners in the UK were the first to enjoy that fix. Good to know that this fix has finally made its way across the Atlantic, where an Over The Air (OTA) update is made available to owners of the Galaxy Note 2 from T-Mobile, where the carrier claims that it will improve “security and provides bug fixes". Wait a minute, what about the Samsung Galaxy S3?
Sprint does not want to be left out from the Exynos exploit bandwagon, too, as they have also pushed out a software update, although this one is meant for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic Touch 4G, where it will deliver relevant security updates which ought to be able to weed out any current vulnerabilities found in the Exynos chipset, including the "Sprint Connections Optimizer."
Of course, similar patches for devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3 across different carriers can surely be expected in the days to come, and it just goes to show how hard Samsung is working on to help squash this niggling bug once and for all.
