Samsung rumored to employ Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 for Galaxy S4

Samsung will forgo the in-house Exynos processor in favor of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 for the upcoming Galaxy S4, reports Korean Media (translate). Allegedly, Samsung’s own chip is power hungry and gets rather warm as compared to the Qualcomm processor. Not that we’re complaining; the benchmarks for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 are incredible.

Among other details, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to feature a 4.9-inch Full HD display, 2GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and the

• 1.9Ghz Quad Core APQ8064T Qualcomm Snapdragon 600/800 processor.
