The ability to run Android apps on Windows has been around for a bit, but the opposite could not be said until now. Enter Alexandre Julliard, who demonstrated an early version of Wine for Android at this year’s FOSDEM conference in Brussels.
Alexandre had the pleasure of showing off an early, but slow running version of the new port on his Mac laptop during the keynote. The slowness of the demo was due to the Wine port running in an emulated version of Android on his laptop, but lends hope to what it would be capable of on an Android tablet even at this early stage in development.
