This Weekend’s Hashtag Project: #WHPfirstphotoredo

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes & hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a photo announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.

Today marks the one-year anniversary since we began sharing fantastic user stories, incredible location features, behind-the-scenes looks at the Instagram team and more through our official Instagram account! In honor of this milestone, the goal this weekend is to recreate your very first Instagram photo.

For our example, we took the photo on the left exactly one year ago when Instagram team members @grex, @shayne, and @jayzombie were all working away at a café in San Francisco. We headed back there to take the new and improved photo on the right, and it brought back a lot of memories. We hope this project will for you, too!

PROJECT RULES: Please only add the hashtag #WHPfirstphotoredo to photos taken over this weekend and only submit your own photographs to the project. Any image taken then tagged over the weekend is eligible to be featured right here Monday morning!
