Last night, over 30,000 runners in Stockholm took to the streets of Södermalm for a midnight 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) run. Midnight Run or Midnattsloppet (@midnattsloppet) aims to combine sport and culture and was originally inspired by Rio’s Carnival celebration. The road race originated in Stockholm in 1982 but is now held in three more cities: Gothenburg, Helsinki and Malmö.
