LG G2 Mini Spotted Again: Looks Like Another "Meh" Mini

LG G2 Mini will feature lower spec and could launch soon

A handset suspected of being the LG G2 Mini has appeared in a Bluetooth certification filing, hinting at the idea that LG may launch the handset soon – perhaps even at Mobile World Congress 2014.

The device is labelled as the LG-D620, a codename which has appeared on Japanese tech blog Ambelo with claims that it “will be announced as the LG G2 mini” (translated).

Said blog also has alleged specs for the device, including a 960x540 pixel resolution display, which is thought to be a 4.3-inch affair. On that information it would seem this is a “Mini” variant of the LG G2 in the vein of the HTC One Mini and Samsung Galaxy Mini, rather than Sony’s Xperia Z1 Compact – that is, not only reduced in size, but also significantly reduced in spec as well.

The report also states it will feature Android 4.4.2 KitKat onboard, Blueooth (obviously) and 4G LTE. Earlier rumours have also pointed to a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 2GB of RAM, although this spec is associated with a different codename from benchmarking results – an LG D-410.

LG has a press event coming up just ahead of MWC 2014 where it’s thought it will reveal fully the already announced and teased LG G Pro 2.
