Things got off to an exciting start this week as Sony took to the streets of London and got creative with the Xperia Z3, showing off its low light capabilities.
After partnering with a series of street artists, ultra violet murals were created to capture dynamic images in low light conditions. The first mural, created by the street artist Dan Kitchener, went live last weekend on Clerkenwell Road. More murals are set to follow within the next seven weeks.
The ‘#ICan’ campaign doesn’t stop there, as it was also announced this week that Sony has teamed up with Time Out magazine to host a Silent Disco – ‘#ICan hear things others can’t’.
Taking place on 4 August, the event will see guests receiving their very own headphones and dancing to three live DJ sets. Special listening booths will be activated so users can experience the Xperia Z3+ model and Hi-Res Audio-compatible headphones. A competition will run throughout the disco giving guests the chance to explore a special VIP lounge.
In case you missed it, we released some exciting news earlier this week that we couldn’t wait to share. Sony Mobile is set to launch a company to produce camera drones in partnership with robotics team ZMP.
Sony Mobile Communications will collaborate with ZMP on the development and launch of enterprise solutions, using autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles for image capture. This will be combined with cloud-based data processing. The company will be called ‘Aerosense Inc’ and will be founded in early August.
Elsewhere, Action Cam took a gigantic leap of faith alongside athlete Ian McIntosh.
The athlete, who encourages people to ‘find that one thing that allows us to truly live in the moment’, dived off a set of cliffs with his Action Cam firmly in place. The video will have you gasping and will take your breath away!
