Weekend Hashtag Project: #‎WHPfirstlight

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.

The goal this weekend is to make images and videos as the sun is rising, capturing the first light of the day. Here’s how to get started:

• Wake up early to follow the moving sun with your camera, starting when the light is barely visible until it covers everything in sight.
• Find a subject the light touches and photograph the ways early light gives a magical glow to otherwise ordinary objects and places.
• If you’re shooting video, try using Instagram’s Hyperlapse app to speed up the motion of the sunlight as it emerges around you.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPfirstlight hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
