“A lot of photographers can be spoiled by stage access and photo pits. Sometimes it’s just really fun to shoot shows that have none of that, where you have to be in the crowd and kicked in the head while dodging all the crowd surfers. I have definitely had people fall on me.” —Roger Ho (@rohofoto), a 31-year-old music photographer out of Austin, Texas. While Roger has worked as a staff photographer for three of the city’s biggest festivals –– Austin City Limits, Fun Fun Fun and Levitation –– he typically prefers shooting rowdy rock concerts in smaller venues.
