Staying Strong and Proud with Stacey Griffith

“My support system is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. There was a time I would have thought this was impossible,” says Stacey Griffith (@staceygnyc), a senior founding instructor of the indoor cycling studio SoulCycle (@soulcycle).

“Life for gays has changed dramatically from when (and where) I grew up. I’m now part of a harmonious community full of families with heterosexual, gay and mixed-race parents. We all openly share our lives professionally and personally. While there’s still so much work to be done for equality in communities around the country and the world, New York City fills me with pride and with hope. Kindness, compassion and respect for our differences makes the world a better and more interesting place. No one should have to hide who they are. I love who I am and what I do.”
