Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPfriendshipis

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.

International Day of Friendship is on July 30, and to celebrate, this weekend’s goal is to make photos and videos that capture every aspect of friendship. Here’s how to get started:

• Grab a friend or a group and take a fun selfie that shows what it’s like when you spend time together. Try using Boomerang to add motion.
• A horse who hangs with a duck? A puppy cuddle puddle? Share a photo of your pets or an animal odd couple.
• Find letters from pen pals, care packages, friendship bracelets and any other tokens you have that mean friendship to you.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPfriendshipis hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
