If you’re after an iPad, you’re probably bracing yourself for a massive financial hit.
iPads, like iPhones, are expensive. Everybody knows this.
It’s just the way things are, right?
Well, if you’re buying brand new, then, yes, that is the case.
But there are other ways to secure yourself a shiny iPad or iPad Pro.
And my favorite way to do this is buying reconditioned iPads.
Why Reconditioned iPads Rock
The main reason is simple: price – they’re LOADS cheaper.
Sure, someone else has used it. But once it’s been cleaned up and rejigged by a reseller, you’d never know.
Basically, they look good as new and function in exactly the same way as a new iPad.
It’s like when you buy a used car; someone else takes the depreciation hit and you, buying second hand, save a fortune in the process and still get the car you want.
Obviously, with iPads, we’re talking about smaller sums of money but the principles remain the same.
If you want to save 30-40% on an iPad or iPad Pro, you’re best off getting a reconditioned one.
I always use (and recommend) Gazelle for reconditioned iPads, as well as iPhones and MacBooks.
They tend to have the cheapest prices around for iPads, and the majority of the devices they retail are unlocked, meaning you can run them on any network (if you go for the cellular versions).
iPad Pro 9.7 Deals
If you wanted to buy a brand new iPad Pro 9.7, you’re looking at a pretty hefty outlay.
Go for a top of the line model, and it’s getting on for the best part of $800!
Go the reconditioned route, however, and you’ll pay $389 – yep, it’s WAY less.
And this rule of thumb applies to MacBooks, iPhones, and other mobile tech devices as well.
Bottomline: if you’re shopping around for iPad deals, make sure you check out the reconditioned market first.
There’s plenty of gems to be had!
