Apple’s iPhone X launched with a £1000 price tag (more or less). This took a lot of people by surprise. After all, how could a phone actually cost that much money!?
Well, Samsung is doing its damnedest not to be outshone by Apple’s INSANE pricing for its iPhone X. No, it’s taking things a step or two farther with the Galaxy Note 9…

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Price
According to leaked information, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will cost €1,029 (128GB) and €1,279 (512GB).
This would make it the most expensive mobile phone Samsung has ever produced. It’s also notably more expensive than the iPhone X.
Furthermore, additional reports suggest these “leaked” prices could actually increase once the handset arrives in August.
In the US, minus VAT, it’s a similar story for Galaxy Note 9 pricing: a minimum of $1000 up to around $1200.
Last year’s Galaxy Note 8 retailed for $950.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Release Date
The handset, according to reports, will get a release date on August 24th, following its launch on August 9th.
This ensures it gets to market ahead of Apple’s new iPhone X releases.

Here’s a rundown of the rumored specs for the Galaxy Note 9, based on the latest information we have.
- Display: 6.3in OLED Display
- Camera: 12MP
- Storage: N/A
- Memory: 6GB of RAM
- Battery: 4000mAh Cell
Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but we expect A LOT of the internal specs to be rather similar to the Galaxy S9’s – most notably the CPU and camera.
It’ll be interesting to see how Samsung justifies the price increase. I know it’s only 50 bucks, but sometimes it’s the principle of the matter.
An increased price has to be reflected in components, otherwise, you just end up looking like, well… Apple.
And no one wants that, right?
