We show you how to format an SD card for the LG Optimus 4X HD
by via Know Your Mobile
The LG Optimus 4X comes with 12GB of internal memory, which may seem ample but it also has a micro SD slot, allowing you to add a further 32GB of space. This could (potentially) take you up to a massive 44GB of storage space on your phone, which should be more than enough for even the most ardent hoarder.
To get started with your new memory card, you’ll need to format it with your device so that the two are compatible and we’ve put together a quick guide to show you how, but be aware that all files will be deleted from the card so you may wish to back it up on your laptop or PC first if you’ve used it before.
- Grab your LG Optimus 4X HD
- Start at the Homescreen
- Tap the ‘Menu’ icon
- Touch the ‘Apps’ tab
- Go to ‘Settings’
- Hit ‘Storage’
- Select ‘Unmount SD card’ then ‘OK’ to confirm
- Choose ‘Erase SD card’ and again a second time
- Tap ‘Erase everything’ and then ‘OK’ to confirm
- If you use a pattern lock, enter it when prompted
- If not, hit ‘Erase everything’
