Conference calling is a function which crosses the boundaries of business and pleasure, whether you use it for important work calls with clients or for speaking to more than one of your buddies to make plans for the weekend, it’s a great feature.

Here’s how you get a conference call going:

Grab your LG Optimus 4X

• Make a call in the usual way to the first recipient


• Wait until they answer and then touch the ‘Menu’ icon


• Choose ‘Add call’


• This will put the first caller momentarily on hold


• Dial the number of the second person you wish to call or choose from your ‘Recent Call’ or ‘Contacts’ lists


• Touch the ‘Call’ button to start the second call


• You should now see both calls locked to your screen


• Tap ‘Merge Calls’ to turn the call into a conference call


• Repeat the steps to add further people, although the amount of calls you can merge will depend on your service provider
