Pictures, reportedly taken with the Sony Honami's 20.7-megapixel camera, have been posted on Picasa.
According to the device's EXIF data on the photography website, the pictures were taken by the Sony Honami LTE version, AKA Sony C6903 and were discovered by Japanese site RB Men.
The pictures were taken at a resolution of 8-megapixels rather than the full 20.7-megapixels, but nonetheless, they look pretty spectacular.
Xperia Blog revealed the pictures were also taken on pre-production firmware, so they may not be at the full quality of the final device.
The Sony Honami is expected to launch on September 4 at an event in Berlin, just before the start of IFA.
The EXIF data reveals:
- Shooting device: Xperia Honami LTE (C6903)
- 2013/08/14/20 shooting date and time
- Camera pixels: 3840x2160
- About 8.3 million pixels (not the maximum number of pixels)
- Focal Length: 4.9mm
- Software version: 14.1.G.1.406_9_b400
- Exposure: 1/5000, f / 2, ISO 50
Specs for the Sony Honami so far include a Snapdragon 800 processor like the Sony Xperia Z Ultra with a 5-inch 1080p screen. The Sony Honami was leaked in white last week, suggesting it may be available in a range of colours, just like the Sony Xperia Z and Z Ultra.
No on-sale date has been released for the UK and we're not sure on pricing either just yet.
Here are the pictures, reportedly taken on the Sony Honami, possibly at a Sony employee dinner or event:
