A new year has arrived, and with it, the challenge to keep growing and improving. That’s what resolutions are all about, but did you know only 8% of us are successful at keeping our festive promises 1? Well, we thought it fitting to show you how, with a little determination (and a little help from Sony Mobile), keeping your New Year’s resolutions has never been easier.
According to Statistic Brain Research Institute last year’s most common goals included learning something exciting, staying fit & healthy, getting organized and spending more time with family – so taking this on board let’s see how we can help the 92% of you who are set on failing to last throughout 2016!
1. Learn something exciting
Learning a new hobby is an easy favourite when it comes to planning out your 2016, and with Xperia Z5 it’s actually one of the easiest to achieve!
Z5’s camera is one of its standout features (highlights include its world’s fastest 0.03 second autofocus 2, 23MP & 5 x zoom) meaning mobile photography has never been easier. We’ll even be on hand as the year goes on with our regular tutorials to ensure this is one new hobby that sticks.
2. Getting fit
After the indulgent Christmas period there’s no wondering why getting fit seems to be so high on everyone’s priority list. Thankfully Sony Mobile has partnered with former world champion boxer, Carl Forch MBE and fitness vlogger and personal trainer, Carly Rowena, as they show how our SmartWear & SmartWatch 3 can be integrated into your everyday training programmes.
So if you’re feeling demotivated and need that extra nudge it’s certainly worth checking out how Carl gets on – be sure to keep your eyes peeled for his progress in Jan!
3. Healthy eating
With the prospect of spending your year eating salads and smoothies, there’s no wonder this is one goal that’s often the first to be broken – but remember healthy eating doesn’t need to be boring! Get creative in the kitchen & if you’re one of the millions who love to show off their nutritious meals it’s certainly worth checking out our ‘Gourmet Mode’ scene within Xperia Z5’s manual settings. Gourmet Mode ensures your food shots look great every time, meaning your hard work will look even better when you show it off on social media!
4. Getting organised
Planning to get organised in 2016? Look no further than SmartBand 2. SmartBand 2 uses intelligent tracking powered with Sony’s LifeLog application to help you build better insights regarding your day-to-day activities. It captures all the important data you need to track, learn from & for you to remember for the rest of the year (including exercise, stress & sleep quality).
5. Spending time with your family
After spending plenty of quality time with your loved ones, there’s no surprise that the prospect of heading back to work leaves a lot of us feeling blue. So if you’re set on aiming to spend less time at your 9-5 and more time with the people that matter we’ve got the perfect tablet that might just be able to help!
Xperia Z4 Tablet not only allows you to keep working when you’re on the go, thanks to its title as the world’s slimmest and lightest 10” tablet – but it’s also the perfect hub of entertainment, meaning whether its working at home or watching a movie with your family on its vivid 2K display, it’s got you covered.
No matter what challenges you’ve set you set yourself this year, we hope we can help – and we promise we won’t judge if you fail after the first week! Let us know your resolutions on Twitter or in the comments section.
