The landscape of smart home products and security devices spans across many brands and getting them to work together isn’t always easy. Yale and Ring have just teamed up to help simplify things a bit by linking together Yale smart locks and the Ring Alarm system.
From now on, all Z-Wave enabled Yale locks such as the Assure Lock line up will be interconnected with the Ring Alarm system. This is also good news for users of the August Smart Lock Pro line because Yale’s sister company is in the process of adding support for Ring Alarm as well.
Yale smart lock and soon August lock users with Ring Alarm systems will soon be treated to some new features thanks to their new partnership. This includes the ability to enable or disable your alarm system by locking or unlocking your smart lock. As well as being able to lock your doors by enabling the security system or unlock them by disabling it.
Managing your security will also become easier now that you can use the Ring Alarm app to manage your smart locks. Users with Yale Z-Wave smart locks and soon August locks will have the ability to monitor the battery life and check the recent activity.
