Weekend Hashtag Project Look Backs: #WHPcamouflage
Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.
As 2015 comes to an end, we’re looking back at some of our favorite Weekend Hashtag Projects of the year. We featured England’s Aravis Dolmenna’s (@aravisdolmenna) photo for #WHPcamouflage.
“I look at ordinary objects I have around the house from a different angle,” says Aravis, who’s made it a personal rule to forgo filters or editing apps. Instead, she relies on paint and modeling clay to achieve playful, unexpected twists. “As children we make art all the time. We are uninhibited about whether it is good enough,” Aravis says. “Instagram has given me the opportunity to return to that — to have fun and not take it too seriously.”
Stay tuned for more #WHPlookbacks as we count down to 2016, and explore past Weekend Hashtag Projects here.
