Rooting is the process of allowing you to run your device with root-level permissions. Additionally, when we talk about Root we generally include Superuser permissions and various tools that assist with power user type activities.Once Rooted it’s possible for you to replace pre-installed apps, modify or replace system files, and do all sorts of low-level stuff
First do the following on your device
Go to settings > Security > Mark “Unknown sources”
Settings > Developer options > Mark USB debugging
Settings > Xperia > connectivity > USB connection mode > select MSC mode
1) You should download Flastool
2) Download the respective Kernel to flash
3) Go to C>flashtool > firmwares > and delete everything present in the folder; Then copy the kernel into this folder
4) Now launch Flashtool
Run this with administrative privileges
5) Click on the Flash icon circled below
6) Select Flashmode and click Ok
7) Setup will Look like this ; click Ok
8 ) Follow the steps connect your mobile and flash.
Note: For devices with capacitive back buttons hold down the volume down key instead of the back button while connecting your phone
9) After flashing restart your device
It may not start completely, may remain at Sony logo or blank/black.
Whatever the status is, just restart your device and proceed with the rooting
( Make sure you close flashtool before running the rooting toolkit )
10) Rooting
i) Download And Install ADB Drivers
ii) Download DooMLoRD_v1_Xperia-2011-ICS-ROOT-emu-busybox-su.zip and extract it on C Drive
iii) Connect your Phone to PC
iv) Double click on ‘runme.bat’
v) Follow the onscreen instructions and when the script finishes; Bingo, your device is rooted
11) Now download and flash the kernel provided below
Use the same steps as before for flashing the kernel (3,4,5,6,7,8)
12) That’s it, all done.. Enjoy using your rooted device
