LAS VEGAS--Panasonic is following up last year's DT50 LCD with the release of the DT60. The DT60 will be available in two sizes: the 55-inch TC-L55DT60 and the 60-inch TC-L60DT60.
Panasonic has joined LG's Smart TV alliance, and it has taken a page out of the Korean giant's book by releasing a TV bursting with features.
The DT50 offers the following additions: My Home Screen which allows each user in the home to create their own personal home screen; Swipe & Share 2.0 lets users tap their NFC smartphone against the TV to share content; Voice Interaction/Guidance allows users to speak commands into their Panasonic remote or smartphone; three HDMI ports and three USB enhance connectivity; and a Dual Core processor with a Hexa Processing Engine should improve picture quality.
Panasonic's range of LED TVs will be available in the U.S. in spring 2013, with pricing to be announced.
